जीवन्तीं मां यथा रामः सम्भावयति कीर्तिमान् ।
तत्तथा हनुमन् वाच्यं वाचा धर्ममवाप्नुहि ।

jīvantīṃ māṃ yathā rāmaḥ sambhāvayati kīrtimān |
tattathā hanuman vācyaṃ vācā dharmamavāpnuhi ॥5-39-10॥
Translation
O Hanuman! Speak to the glorious Rama in such a way that he honors (rescues) me while I am still alive. By such speech, attain merit (dharma).
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे हनुमान! तुम राम से ऐसे वचन कहना जिससे वह कीर्तिमान (राम) मेरे जीवित रहते ही मेरा सम्मान (उद्धार) करें। अपनी वाणी से तुम यह धर्म (पुण्य) प्राप्त करो।
English Commentary
The urgency is palpable in the word "jivantim" (while alive). Sita stresses that Rama's fame (kirtiman) and honor serve no purpose if she dies before rescue. "Sambhavayati" implies treating with honor or rescuing. She frames Hanuman's task as a spiritual act; by using his words ("vaca") to trigger an immediate rescue, he will earn the "dharma" (merit) of saving a life. It is a desperate plea against the ticking clock of her endurance.

यहाँ 'जीवन्तीं' (जीवित रहते हुए) शब्द पर सबसे अधिक जोर है। सीता कह रही हैं कि मरने के बाद का उद्धार या सम्मान उनके लिए व्यर्थ है। 'सम्भावयति' का अर्थ यहाँ केवल याद करना नहीं, बल्कि अपनाकर सम्मानित करना है। सीता हनुमान को प्रेरित करती हैं कि वे अपनी वाक्पटुता का प्रयोग करें, क्योंकि एक मरते हुए व्यक्ति (सीता) के प्राण बचाना सबसे बड़ा 'धर्म' है। यदि हनुमान की बातों से राम शीघ्र आते हैं, तो हनुमान को जीवनदान का पुण्य मिलेगा।
