सीताया वचनं श्रुत्वा हनुमान् मारुतात्मजः ।
शिरस्यञ्जलिमाधाय वाक्यमुत्तरब्रवीत् ।

sītāyā vacanaṃ śrutvā hanumān mārutātmajaḥ |
śirasyañjalimādhāya vākyamuttaramabravīt ॥5-39-13॥
Translation
Hearing Sita's words, Hanuman, the son of the wind, placed his folded hands on his head and spoke in reply.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सीता के (करुणा और प्रेरणा से भरे) वचन सुनकर, पवनपुत्र हनुमान ने अपने सिर पर अंजलि (जुड़े हुए हाथ) रखकर उत्तर दिया।
English Commentary
This verse serves as a narrative bridge. Hanuman listens to Sita's frantic and emotional instructions with deep reverence. Placing folded hands on one's head ("shirasyanjalim adhaya") is a gesture of supreme respect and submission in Indian culture, higher than a simple Namaste. It indicates that Hanuman cherishes every word she spoke as a command and a blessing before he delivers his final reassuring reply.
