शरैस्तु सङ्कुलां कृत्वा लङ्कां परबलार्दनः ।
मां येद्यदि काकुत्स्थस्तत्तस्य सदृशं भवेत् ।

५.३९.३०।। ॥५-३९-३०॥
śaraistu saṅkulāṃ kṛtvā laṅkāṃ parabalārdanaḥ |
māṃ nayedyadi kākutsthastattasya sadṛśaṃ bhavet ॥5-39-30॥
Translation
If Kakutstha (Rama), the destroyer of enemy forces, fills Lanka with his arrows and then takes me away, that would be befitting of him.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यदि शत्रुओं की सेना का संहार करने वाले काकुत्स्थ (राम) लंका को अपने बाणों से भर दें (आच्छादित कर दें) और तब मुझे ले जाएं, तो यह उनके (वीरोचित) अनुरूप होगा।
English Commentary
Sita envisions a total military conquest. She wants Lanka to be "sankulam" (choked/covered) with Rama's arrows. She asserts that anything less than a decisive military strike is unworthy of Rama. By using the phrase "tattasya sadrisham bhavet" (that would be befitting of him), she sets the standard for Rama's action. She is not a damsel in distress begging for escape; she is an Empress demanding that her Emperor act according to his status and dharma.

सीता जी राम के लिए 'काकुत्स्थ' और 'परबलार्दनः' (शत्रु सेना को कुचलने वाला) विशेषणों का प्रयोग करती हैं। वे एक ऐसा दृश्य देखना चाहती हैं जहाँ लंका राम के बाणों से 'संकुलां' (व्याप्त/ढक जाना) हो जाए। 'तत्तस्य सदृशं भवेत्' (वह उनके अनुरूप होगा) - इसका अर्थ है कि इससे कम कुछ भी राम के गौरव के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं है। यह सीता का क्षत्रिय धर्म है जो अहिंसा नहीं, बल्कि न्यायपूर्ण युद्ध की मांग कर रहा है।
