त्वमस्मिन् कार्यनिर्योगे प्रमाणं हरिसत्तम ।
हनुमन् यत्नमास्थाय दुःखक्षयकरो भव ।
तस्य चिन्तयतो यत्नो दुःखक्षयकरो भवेत् ।

५.३९.४।। ॥५-३९-४॥
tvamasmin kāryaniryoga pramāṇaṃ harisattama |
hanuman yatnamāsthāya duḥkhakṣayakaro bhava |
tasya cintayato yatno duḥkhakṣayakaro bhavet ॥5-39-4॥
Translation
O best of monkeys! You are the authority/capable agent in the execution of this task. O Hanuman, making the necessary effort, become the remover of my sorrow. Your well-thought-out effort alone can bring an end to this grief.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे वानरश्रेष्ठ! इस कार्य की सिद्धि में आप ही प्रमाण (समर्थ) हैं। हे हनुमान! आप प्रयत्न करके मेरे दुखों का अंत करने वाले बनें। आपके विचारपूर्वक किए गए यत्न से ही मेरे दुखों का नाश हो सकेगा।
English Commentary
Sita uses the word "Pramanam" regarding Hanuman, placing immense responsibility on him. It implies that he is the authority, the standard, and the key agent in this mission. Since Rama is unaware of the specific details of her captivity, Hanuman acts as the bridge. She emphasizes that only his "yatna" (effort) and careful planning can lead to "dukhakshay" (destruction of sorrow). It highlights the pivotal role Hanuman plays—he is not just a messenger but the catalyst for the entire war effort.
