स तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय मारुतिर्भीमविक्रमः ।
शिरसा ऽ ऽवन्द्य वैदेहीं गमनायोपचक्रमे ।

५.३९.५।। ॥५-३९-५॥
sa tatheti pratijñāya mārutirbhīmavikramaḥ |
śirasā ''vandya vaidehīṃ gamanāyopacakrame ॥5-39-5॥
Translation
Having promised "So be it," the son of the wind, possessed of terrifying valor, bowed his head to Vaidehi and prepared to depart.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब भयानक पराक्रम वाले पवनपुत्र हनुमान ने 'ऐसा ही होगा' (तथेति) कहकर प्रतिज्ञा की और वैदेही (सीता) को सिर झुकाकर प्रणाम करते हुए जाने का उपक्रम किया।
English Commentary
The epithet "Bhimavikramah" (one of terrifying valor) is used for Hanuman here to reassure the reader (and Sita) of his capability to fulfill the promise he just made with the word "Tatheti" (So be it). Despite his immense power, his demeanor towards Sita remains one of absolute humility, as indicated by him bowing his head ("shirasa vandya"). This verse marks the transition from the dialogue in the Ashoka Vatika to Hanuman's return journey.

हनुमान जी का 'भीमविक्रमः' (भयानक पराक्रम वाला) विशेषण यहाँ प्रासंगिक है, जो दर्शाता है कि वे सीता के दुखों को दूर करने की शक्ति रखते हैं। 'तथेति' (तथा + इति) कहकर उन्होंने सीता की आज्ञा को पूर्ण रूप से स्वीकार किया। यह क्षण भक्त और भगवान (या यहाँ माता समान सीता) के बीच पूर्ण समर्पण का है। जाने से पूर्व 'शिरसा वन्द्य' (सिर से प्रणाम करना) उनकी विनम्रता और मर्यादा को दर्शाता है।
