तौ हि वीरौ नरवरौ सहितौ रामलक्ष्मणौ ।
आगम्य नगरीं लङ्कां सायकैर्विधमिष्यतः ।

Tau hi vīrau naravarau sahitau rāmalakṣmaṇau । Āgamya nagarīṃ laṅkāṃ sāyakairvidhamiṣyataḥ । ॥5-39-42॥
Translation
Those two heroes, best among men, Rama and Lakshmana, arriving together at the city of Lanka, will destroy it with their arrows.

वे दोनों वीर नरश्रेष्ठ राम और लक्ष्मण एक साथ लंका नगरी में आकर अपने बाणों से इसका विध्वंस कर देंगे।
English Commentary
Hanuman preemptively declares the outcome of the coming war. He assures Sita that the arrival of Rama and Lakshmana is not just for a reunion but specifically for the destruction of the enemy city. The use of "vidhamishyatah" (will destroy/blow away) suggests a complete rout. Mentioning "sayakaih" (with arrows) reinforces Rama's identity as the supreme archer whose weaponry is inescapable. This is meant to replace Sita's fear of Ravana with confidence in Rama's martial capability.

हनुमान जी यहाँ युद्ध का परिणाम पहले ही घोषित कर रहे हैं। वे सीता जी को विश्वास दिलाते हैं कि राम और लक्ष्मण का आगमन केवल मिलने के लिए नहीं, अपितु लंका के विनाश ('विधमिष्यतः') के लिए होगा। 'सायकैः' (बाणों से) का उल्लेख यह बताता है कि राम का धनुष ही लंका के राक्षसों के लिए काल बनेगा। यह सीता जी के मन में रावण के प्रति भय को समाप्त करने और राम के पराक्रम पर विश्वास दृढ़ करने के लिए कहा गया है।
