Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
शैलाम्बुदनिकाशानां लङ्कामलयसानुषु ।
नर्दतां कपिमुख्यानामार्ये यूथान्यनेकशः ।

Śailāmbudanikāśānāṃ laṅkāmalayasānuṣu । Nardatāṃ kapimukhyānāmārye yūthānyanekaśaḥ । । ॥5-39-50॥
Translation
O Noble Lady! You shall (soon) see numerous troops of monkey chiefs, resembling mountains and clouds, roaring on the peaks of Lanka and the Malaya mountains.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे आर्य! आप लंका और मलय पर्वत के शिखरों पर पर्वतों और बादलों के समान विशालकाय तथा गर्जना करने वाले वानर-यूथपतियों के अनेकों समूहों को (शीघ्र ही) देखेंगी।
English Commentary
Hanuman addresses Sita respectfully as "Arye" (Noble Lady). He uses vivid imagery to describe the Vanara army, comparing them to "shaila" (mountains) for their massive size and stability, and "ambuda" (clouds) for their dark hue and overwhelming presence. By stating they will be roaring ("nardatam") on the peaks of Lanka and Malaya, he envisions a total siege where the geography itself seems covered by the monkey warriors. This is meant to assure Sita that the rescue force is not a small band, but a massive, nature-like force capable of swarming the enemy territory.

हनुमान जी यहाँ सीता जी को 'आर्ये' कहकर संबोधित करते हैं, जो एक अत्यंत सम्मानजनक संबोधन है। वे वानर सेना की विशालता और स्वरूप का वर्णन 'शैलाम्बुदनिकाशानां' (पर्वतों और बादलों के समान) कहकर करते हैं। पर्वत स्थिरता और कठोरता का प्रतीक है, जबकि बादल गति और व्यापकता का। हनुमान जी यह चित्र खींच रहे हैं कि वानर सेना केवल जमीन पर नहीं, बल्कि लंका के शिखरों और मलय पर्वत (जो लंका के मार्ग में है) पर छा जाएगी। उनकी 'गर्जना' राक्षसों के मन में भय उत्पन्न करने के लिए पर्याप्त होगी।
