नास्मिंश्चिरं वत्स्यसि देवि देशे रक्षोगणैरध्युषिते ऽतिरौद्रे ।
न ते चिरादागमनं प्रियस्य क्षमस्व मत्सङ्गमकालमात्रम् ।

Nāsmiṃściraṃ vatsyasi devi deśe rakṣogaṇairadhyuṣite 'tiraudre । Na te cirādāgamanaṃ priyasya kṣamasva matsaṅgamakālamātram । । ॥5-39-54॥
Translation
O Devi! You will not dwell long in this very terrible land inhabited by troops of Rakshasas. The arrival of your beloved will not be delayed; bear with it just for the duration of my meeting (with him).
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे देवि! राक्षस समूहों से भरे हुए इस अत्यंत भयानक देश में अब आप अधिक समय तक नहीं रहेंगी। आपके प्रिय (राम) के आगमन में अब अधिक विलंब नहीं है; बस (मेरे जाने और राम से) मेरे मिलने तक के समय की ही प्रतीक्षा करें।
English Commentary
This is the concluding verse of the sarga, offering a final, concrete assurance. Hanuman acknowledges the horror of her environment by calling it "atiraudre" (very terrible) and infested with Rakshasas. The crucial instruction is "kshamasva mat-sangama-kala-matram" – literally asking her to "forgive" or "tolerate" the delay only for the duration of his return journey and meeting with Rama. By defining the waiting period as specifically "just until I get back to him," he transforms an endless, hopeless wait into a manageable, finite interval, giving Sita a target to focus on for her survival.

यह इस सर्ग (अध्याय) का अंतिम और समाहार श्लोक है। हनुमान जी लंका को 'अतिरौद्रे' (अत्यंत भयानक) कहते हैं, जो सीता की पीड़ा के प्रति उनकी सहानुभूति दर्शाता है। वे स्पष्ट करते हैं कि अब प्रतीक्षा की घड़ी समाप्त होने वाली है। 'क्षमस्व' का अर्थ यहाँ 'धैर्य रखें' या 'प्रतीक्षा करें' है। वे सीता जी से केवल उतना समय मांग रहे हैं जितना उन्हें समुद्र पार करके वापस जाने और राम को यहाँ लाने में लगेगा ('मत्सङ्गमकालमात्रम्')। यह एक निश्चित समय सीमा (deadline) देकर सीता के मन को शांत करने का प्रयास है।
