कथंचिद् भवती दृष्टा न कालः परिशोचितुम् ।
इमं मुहूर्तं दुःखानामन्तं द्रक्ष्यामि भामिनि ।

kathaṃcid bhavatī dṛṣṭā na kālaḥ pariśocitum |
imaṃ muhūrtaṃ duḥkhānāmantaṃ drakṣyāmi bhāmini ॥5-40-14॥
Translation
Somehow (by great fortune), you have been seen by me. This is not the time to grieve. O noble lady, I perceive this very moment as the end of your sorrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे भामिनि! किसी प्रकार (बड़े भाग्य से) मैंने आपके दर्शन कर लिए हैं। अब यह शोक करने का समय नहीं है। मैं इस मुहूर्त को दुःखों का अंत ही मानता हूँ (या देखता हूँ)।
English Commentary
Hanuman signals a shift from despair to optimism. The use of kathaṃcid (somehow/with difficulty) acknowledges the immense odds he overcame to find her. He asserts that this meeting is not just a chance encounter but the definitive end of her tribulation (duḥkhānāmantaṃ). By stating "this is not the time to grieve," he encourages Sita to look forward to the imminent rescue. Addressing her as bhāmini (a term of endearment and respect for a spirited lady), he validates her resilience. This verse establishes Hanuman not just as a messenger, but as the catalyst for the resolution of the Ramayana's central conflict.

हनुमान जी अब सीता जी को शोक से बाहर निकालकर आशा की ओर ले जा रहे हैं। 'कथंचिद्' (किसी तरह) शब्द उस कठिन संघर्ष को दर्शाता है जो उन्होंने समुद्र लांघने और लंका में सीता को खोजने में किया है। वे सीता जी को 'भामिनि' (सुन्दर या कोपवती स्त्री - यहाँ आदर और स्नेह सूचक) कहकर सम्बोधित करते हैं। हनुमान जी का आत्मविश्वास देखिए, वे कहते हैं कि उनके द्वारा सीता को देख लेना ही दुःखों का अंत है ('दुःखानामन्तं')। यह केवल एक मुलाक़ात नहीं, बल्कि रावण के विनाश और राम की विजय का प्रारम्भ है। यह श्लोक कथा में 'टर्निंग पॉइंट' (निर्णायक मोड़) को चिह्नित करता है।
