तावुभौ पुरुषव्याघ्रौ राजपुत्रावरिन्दमौ ।
त्वद्दर्शनकृतोत्साहौ लङ्कां भस्मीकरिष्यतः ।

tāvubhau puruṣavyāghrau rājaputrāvarindamau |
tvaddarśanakṛtotsāhau laṅkāṃ bhasmīkariṣyataḥ ॥5-40-15॥
Translation
Those two tigers among men, the princes, tamers of enemies, encouraged by the news of your discovery, will reduce Lanka to ashes.
हिंदी अनुवाद
शत्रुओं का दमन करने वाले (अरिन्दमौ), वे दोनों पुरुषसिंह राजकुमार, आपके दर्शन (के समाचार) से उत्साहित होकर लंका को भस्म कर देंगे।
English Commentary
Hanuman projects the future military capability of Rama and Lakshmana. He refers to them as arindamau (subduers of enemies), assuring Sita of their martial prowess. Crucially, he identifies the catalyst for their attack: the news of her discovery (tvaddarśana-kṛta-utsāhau). Knowing she is alive and where she is will transform their grief into martial energy. The phrase laṅkāṃ bhasmīkariṣyataḥ (will reduce Lanka to ashes) is prophetic, foreshadowing both Hanuman’s immediate action of burning Lanka and the eventual total destruction of Ravana’s empire. It serves to empower Sita with the vision of her captors' inevitable downfall.

यहाँ हनुमान जी भविष्य की रणनीति और परिणाम की घोषणा करते हैं। वे राम और लक्ष्मण के लिए 'पुरुषव्याघ्रौ' (नर-व्याघ्र) और 'अरिन्दमौ' (शत्रु-दमनक) जैसे विशेषणों का प्रयोग करते हैं, जो उनके युद्ध-कौशल को सिद्ध करते हैं। महत्त्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि वे 'त्वद्दर्शनकृतोत्साहौ' कह रहे हैं—अर्थात सीता के मिल जाने का समाचार ही वह ईंधन होगा जो उनके उत्साह को प्रचलित करेगा। हनुमान जी भविष्यवाणी करते हैं कि लंका 'भस्म' कर दी जाएगी ('भस्मीकरिष्यतः'), जो शाब्दिक रूप से सत्य सिद्ध होगी (हनुमान स्वयं लंका दहन करेंगे और बाद में राम युद्ध में विजय प्राप्त करेंगे)। यह सीता जी को शत्रुओं के विनाश का आश्वासन है।
