तमुत्पातकृतोत्साहमवेक्ष्य हरिपुङ्गवम् ।
वर्धमानं महावेगमुवाच जनकात्मजा ।

tamutpātakṛtotsāhamavekṣya haripuṅgavam |
vardhamānaṃ mahāvegamuvāca janakātmajā ॥5-40-20॥
Translation
Seeing that bull among monkeys, who was eager to leap up, increasing in size and possessed of great speed, the daughter of Janaka spoke.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आकाश में उड़ने के लिए उत्साहित ('उत्पात' के लिए तैयार), महान वेग वाले और (आकार में) बढ़ते हुए उस वानरश्रेष्ठ को देखकर जनकपुत्री सीता ने कहा।
English Commentary
As Hanuman prepares to leap across the ocean, he begins to expand his physical form (vardhamānaṃ). Sita observes his eagerness to fly (utpātakṛtotsāham). The visual of Hanuman growing in size and radiating energy (mahāvegam) serves as a final reassurer of his capability to cross the sea. Sita is referred to here as janakātmajā (daughter of Janaka), emphasizing her nobility. Realizing that her only companion in Lanka is about to leave, she speaks again, likely to add final messages or simply to prolong the moment of contact before returning to isolation.

हनुमान जी वापसी की उड़ान भरने के लिए अपने शरीर का आकार बढ़ा रहे हैं ('वर्धमानं')। सीता जी उन्हें 'उत्पातकृतोत्साहम्' (उछलने/उड़ने के लिए उत्साहित) देखती हैं। यह दृश्य सीता के मन में मिश्रित भाव उत्पन्न करता है—एक ओर मुक्ति की आशा, तो दूसरी ओर एकमात्र सहारे (हनुमान) के चले जाने का दुःख। सीता जी को 'जनकात्मजा' कहा गया है, जो उनके उच्च कुल और संस्कारों की याद दिलाता है। हनुमान का विराट रूप उनकी शक्ति का प्रदर्शन है जो सीता को आश्वस्त करता है कि वे समुद्र पार करने में सक्षम हैं।
