English Commentary
This verse fragment vividly captures Sita's emotional vulnerability at the moment of separation. The descriptor aśrupūrṇamukhī (face full of tears) and dīnā (wretched/miserable) contrasts sharply with the hopeful message she just sent. The realization that her temporary protector is leaving causes her voice to choke with emotion (bāṣpagadgadayā girā). It humanizes Sita, showing that despite her spiritual strength, the prospect of returning to solitary confinement amidst enemies is terrifying. It sets a tone of heavy pathos for her final farewell instructions.

यह एक अर्द्ध-श्लोक या वाक्यांश है जो अगले श्लोक की भूमिका है, किन्तु यहाँ सीता जी की विरह-वेदना का अत्यंत मार्मिक चित्रण है। हनुमान के जाने की घड़ी निकट आते ही उनकी आँखों में आँसू भर आए ('अश्रुपूर्णमुखी')। वे स्वयं को पुन: 'दीना' (असहाय) अनुभव कर रही हैं क्योंकि हनुमान के जाने के बाद वे फिर से राक्षसियों के बीच अकेली रह जाएँगी। 'बाष्पगद्गदया गिरा' का अर्थ है कि रोने के कारण उनका गला भर आया है और वे स्पष्ट बोल नहीं पा रही हैं। यह भक्त और भगवान (या माता-पुत्र) के वियोग जैसा दृश्य है।
