अशोकवनिकामध्ये राजन् भीमवपुः कपिः ।
सीतया कृतसंवादस्तदिष्ठत्यमितविक्रमः ।
।

Aśokavanikāmadhye rājan bhīmavapuḥ kapiḥ |
Sītayā kṛtasaṃvādastiṣṭhatyamitavikramaḥ ॥5-42-13॥
Translation
"O King! In the middle of the Ashoka grove, a Monkey of terrible body and immeasurable prowess stands, having held a conversation with Sita."

"हे राजन्! अशोक वाटिका के मध्य में एक भयानक शरीर वाला और अपरिमित पराक्रम वाला वानर बैठा है, जिसने सीता के साथ संवाद किया है।"
English Commentary
The report is concise and alarming. The guards address Ravana as Rājan and immediately highlight the core threats. The mention of Sītayā kṛtasaṃvādaḥ (conversation held with Sita) is the most incendiary piece of information for Ravana, implying a breach of his absolute control over her isolation. They also acknowledge the intruder's power as amitavikramaḥ (immeasurable prowess), warning the king that this is a formidable foe.

यह रावण के लिए पहली आधिकारिक सूचना (Intelligence Report) है। राक्षसियों ने तीन मुख्य बातें बताईं: 1. घुसपैठिया एक 'कपि' (वानर) है, 2. उसका शरीर और पराक्रम भयानक (अमितविक्रमः) है, और 3. सबसे महत्वपूर्ण—उसने सीता से बात की है (सीतया कृतसंवादः)। 'अमितविक्रमः' शब्द बताता है कि राक्षसियाँ समझ गई हैं कि यह साधारण वानर नहीं है, क्योंकि उसने वाटिका को नष्ट कर दिया है।
