ततो वातात्मजः क्रुद्धो भीमरूपं समास्थितः ।
।
॥५-४३-१५॥
Tato vātātmajaḥ kruddho bhīmarūpaṃ samāsthitaḥ । । ॥5-43-15॥
Translation
Then, the son of the Wind-god, becoming angry, assumed a terrifying form. (Note: This is a half-shloka or a short bridging verse in the narrative flow.)
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब (उन प्रहारों से) क्रुद्ध होकर वायुपुत्र हनुमान ने अत्यंत भयानक रूप धारण कर लिया।
English Commentary
This brief line marks the tipping point. Tato (then/thereupon) signals the shift from endurance to retaliation. The trigger is the assault; the response is kruddho (anger). Hanuman transforms into his Bhīmarūpaṃ—a form that is formidable, gigantic, and terrifying. This transformation is necessary to engage multiple opponents simultaneously and to utilize the massive weapon he is about to wield in the next verse.

यह एक छोटा किन्तु निर्णायक सूत्र है। 'ततो' (उसके बाद)—अर्थात् जब राक्षसों ने आक्रमण किया, तब हनुमान जी की प्रतिक्रिया आई। अब तक वे केवल घोषणा कर रहे थे, अब वे 'क्रुद्धो' (क्रोधित) हुए। हनुमान जी का क्रोध धर्मयुक्त क्रोध है। उन्होंने 'भीमरूपं' (भयानक/विशाल रूप) धारण किया। यह 'विश्वरूप' जैसा विस्तार है ताकि वे उन सौ राक्षसों का एक साथ सामना कर सकें। जब वायुपुत्र क्रोधित होते हैं, तो वे प्रलयंकारी आंधी का रूप ले लेते हैं।
