दासो ऽहं कोसलेन्द्रस्य रामस्याक्लिष्टकर्मणः ।
हनुमान् शत्रुसैन्यानां निहन्ता मारुतात्मजः ।

Dāso'haṃ kosalendrasya rāmasyākliṣṭakarmaṇaḥ । Hanumān śatrusainyānāṃ nihantā mārutātmajaḥ । । ॥5-43-8॥
Translation
"I am the servant of the Lord of Kosala, Rama, whose deeds are effortless. I am Hanuman, the destroyer of enemy armies, the son of the Wind-god."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैं कोसलन्द्र, अक्लिष्टकर्मा (बिना थके कठिन कार्य करने वाले) राम का दास हूँ। मैं शत्रु सेनाओं का नाश करने वाला, वायुपुत्र हनुमान हूँ।"
English Commentary
Hanuman repeats his proclamation from the Chaitya-Prasada, just as he did from the Torana. In oral epic traditions, such repetition serves as a refrain to reinforce the hero's identity and intent. By restating "Dāso'haṃ" (I am the servant) from a higher vantage point (the temple), he universalizes his message: whether at the city gates or atop their holy shrines, the authority of Rama prevails. It is a psychological hammer blow, reminding the Rakshasas that the entity dismantling their city is merely an agent of a far greater power—Rama.

हनुमान जी यहाँ चैत्यप्रासाद (मंदिर) के ऊपर से पुनः उसी उद्घोष को दोहराते हैं जो उन्होंने तोरण पर किया था। यह पुनरावृत्ति (repetition) कोई त्रुटि नहीं, बल्कि एक अनुष्ठान है। शत्रु के ह्रदय में भय बैठाने के लिए यह आवश्यक है कि वे बार-बार यह सुनें कि उनका विनाशक कौन है और किसका दास है। स्थान बदलने पर भी हनुमान जी की पहचान नहीं बदलती—वे पहले 'रामदास' हैं और बाद में 'शत्रु-संहारक'। यह श्लोक सिद्ध करता है कि हनुमान जी का बल उनके अहंकार से नहीं, बल्कि उनकी शरणागति ('दासो ऽहं') से उत्पन्न होता है।
