सालं चतुर्भिश्चिच्छेद वानरं पञ्चभिर्भुजे ।
उरस्येकेन बाणेन दशभिस्तु स्तनान्तरे ।

Sālaṃ caturbhiściccheda vānaraṃ pañcabhirbhuje . Urasyekena bāṇena daśabhistu stanāntare .. ॥5-44-14॥
Translation
He cut down the Sala tree with four arrows, pierced the monkey in the arms with five, in the chest with one, and between the breasts with ten.

उसने चार बाणों से उस साल वृक्ष को काट दिया, पाँच बाणों से वानर (हनुमान) की भुजाओं पर, एक बाण से छाती पर और दस बाणों से दोनों स्तनों के बीच प्रहार किया।
English Commentary
Jambumali displays clinical precision and speed. His priority is disarmament, achieved by shredding the Sala tree with four arrows. He instantly follows up with a punishing combination targeting Hanuman's anatomy: arms to disable lifting, and the chest/heart region to inflict lethal damage. The specificity of the targeting—"ten arrows between the breasts"—indicates a master archer identifying vital points. This barrage is designed not just to hurt, but to kill or completely incapacitate the Vanara.

जम्बुमाली की गति और लक्ष्य-भेदने की क्षमता यहाँ चरम पर है। सबसे पहले उसने हनुमान जी के हथियार (साल वृक्ष) को ४ बाणों से काटकर नष्ट किया। फिर बिना समय गंवाए उसने हनुमान जी के शरीर के महत्वपूर्ण अंगों को निशाना बनाया—भुजाएं (जो बल का स्रोत हैं), उर (छाती), और स्तनान्तर (हृदय का स्थान)। कुल २० बाणों का यह सटीक प्रयोग बताता है कि वह हनुमान जी को पूरी तरह निष्क्रिय करने का प्रयास कर रहा था। यह हनुमान जी के लिए संकट का क्षण है।
