स तान् प्रवृद्धान् विनिहत्य राक्षसान् महाबलश्चण्डपराक्रमः कपिः ।
युयुत्सुरन्यैः पुनरेव राक्षसैस्तमेव वीरो ऽभिजगाम तोरणम् ।
।
॥५-४५-१७॥
Sa tān pravṛddhān vinihatya rākṣasān mahābalaścaṇḍaparākramaḥ kapiḥ । Yuyutsuranyaiḥ punareva rākṣasaistameva vīro 'bhijagāma toraṇam । । ॥5-45-17॥
Translation
Having killed those arrogant demons, that hero, the mighty Vanara of fierce valor, wishing to fight again with other demons, went back to that very archway.

वे महाबली और प्रचंड पराक्रमी वीर वानर (हनुमान), उन गर्वीले राक्षसों को मारकर, पुनः अन्य राक्षसों से युद्ध करने की इच्छा से उसी तोरण (द्वार) पर जाकर बैठ गए।
English Commentary
This concluding verse of the 45th Sarga encapsulates Hanuman's warrior ethos. Instead of retreating to recover after destroying a massive army, he returns to the Torana (the archway). This act serves multiple purposes: it is a psychological blow to the enemy (showing he is not tired), a strategic choice (holding the high ground/entrance), and an open invitation for more combat (yuyutsuh - eager to fight). The descriptors Mahabala (great strength) and Chanda-parakrama (fierce valor) justify his confidence. By occupying the gate, he symbolizes the blockage of Lanka's safety and the imminent threat to Ravana's sovereignty. He waits there as the sentinel of Rama's coming wrath.

इस सर्ग का अंतिम श्लोक हनुमान जी के अदम्य साहस और रणनीतिक कौशल को दिखाता है। राक्षसों को मारने के बाद वे छिपे नहीं, बल्कि 'तमेव तोरणम्' (उसी तोरण पर) वापस गए। यह एक खुली चुनौती है। 'युयुत्सुः' (युद्ध करने की इच्छा रखने वाले) शब्द दर्शाता है कि उनकी युद्ध पिपासा अभी शांत नहीं हुई है। वे रावण को विवश करना चाहते हैं कि वह अपनी पूरी शक्ति लगाए। तोरण पर बैठना एक रणनीतिक स्थिति (vantage point) भी है और विजय का प्रतीक भी। 'चण्डपराक्रमः' विशेषण उनके उग्र रूप की पुष्टि करता है। वे शत्रु के घर में बैठकर शत्रु की अगली चाल की प्रतीक्षा निर्भय होकर कर रहे हैं।
