ते परस्परसङ्घर्षात्तप्तकाञ्चनभूषणाः ।
अभिपेतुर्हनूमन्तं तोरणस्थमवस्थितम् ।
।

Te parasparasaṅgharṣāttaptakāñcanabhūṣaṇāḥ . Abhipeturhanūmantaṃ toraṇasthamavasthitam .. ॥5-45-6॥
Translation
Adorned in refined gold ornaments, and driving due to mutual rivalry, they rushed towards Hanuman, who was stationed on the archway.

तपे हुए सोने के आभूषण पहने हुए वे सातों, परस्पर होड़ (प्रतिस्पर्धा) के कारण, तोरण पर स्थित हनुमान जी की ओर (आक्रमण के लिए) झपटे।
English Commentary
The attack commences driven by parasparasaṅgharṣāt (mutual friction/rivalry). The image is of seven glittering warriors racing to be the first to strike the target. Hanuman remains avasthitam (stationed/composed) on the toraṇa (archway). This creates a tactical scenario: the attackers are rushing a fortified, elevated position. Their golden ornaments (taptakāñcanabhūṣaṇāḥ) make them conspicuous targets. The verse contrasts the frantic energy of the attacking Rakshasas with the solitary, elevated stability of Hanuman.

'परस्परसङ्घर्षात्' (आपसी होड़ से) शब्द पुनः उनकी मानसिकता को रेखांकित करता है। वे एक अनुशासित सेना की तरह नहीं, बल्कि शिकार पर झपटते हुए प्रतिस्पर्धियों की तरह दौड़े। हनुमान जी 'तोरणस्थमवस्थितम्' हैं—अर्थात वे ऊंचे स्थान पर स्थिर होकर प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं। यह 'गति' बनाम 'स्थिरता' का दृश्य है। सातों योद्धा नीचे से ऊपर की ओर आक्रमण कर रहे हैं, जो रणनीतिक रूप से कठिन होता है, लेकिन उनका अहंकार और उत्साह उन्हें इस नुकसान (disadvantage) की अनदेखी करने पर विवश कर रहा है।
