सृजन्तो बाणवृष्टिं ते रथगर्जितनिःस्वनाः ।
वृष्टिमन्त इवाम्भोदा विचेरुर्नैर्ऋताम्बुदाः ।

Sṛjanto bāṇavṛṣṭiṃ te rathagarjitaniḥsvanāḥ . Vṛṣṭimanta ivāmbhodā vicerurnairṛtāmbudāḥ .. ॥5-45-7॥
Translation
Creating a rain of arrows and making sounds like the roaring of chariots, those Rakshasa-clouds moved about like rain-bearing clouds.
हिंदी अनुवाद
रथों की घरघराहट के साथ बाणों की वर्षा करते हुए, वे नैर्ऋत (राक्षस) रूपी बादल, वर्षा करने वाले मेघों के समान विचरने लगे।
English Commentary
The meteorological metaphor reaches its peak here. The Rakshasas are explicitly called nairṛtāmbudāḥ (Rakshasa-clouds). They unleash a bāṇavṛṣṭiṃ (rain of arrows) accompanied by the thunder of chariots. The verb viceruḥ (roamed/moved about) suggests dynamic movement—they are circling Hanuman, attempting to overwhelm him with volume of fire from multiple angles. It vividly paints the scene of a heavy storm breaking over the solitary figure of Hanuman.

कवि ने यहाँ रूपक (Metaphor) को पूर्णता प्रदान की है। राक्षस 'नैर्ऋताम्बुदाः' (राक्षस रूपी बादल) हैं। उनके बाण 'वृष्टि' (वर्षा) हैं और रथों की ध्वनि 'गर्जन' है। 'विचेरुः' (विचरने लगे) शब्द बताता है कि वे हनुमान जी को घेरने के लिए चारों ओर घूम रहे हैं। यह एक सामूहिक आक्रमण (Mass attack) है। जम्बुमाली के साथ द्वंद्व युद्ध (Duel) था, लेकिन यहाँ हनुमान जी को एक साथ सात महारथियों की 'बाण-वर्षा' का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, जो स्थिति को अधिक विषम बनाता है।
