रथैर्मत्तैश्च मातङ्गैर्वाजिभिश्च महाजवैः ।
श्स्त्रैश्च विविधैस्तीक्ष्णैः सर्वैश्चोपचिता बलैः ।

Rathairmattaiśca mātaṅgairvājibhiśca mahājavaiḥ । Śstraiśca vividhaistīkṣṇaiḥ sarvaiścopacitā balaiḥ । । ॥5-46-16॥
Translation
Accompanied by chariots, rutting elephants, horses of great speed, and various sharp weapons, and augmented by all forces, (they proceeded).

वे रथों, मदमत्त हाथियों, महावेगवान घोड़ों और विविध प्रकार के तीक्ष्ण अस्त्र-शस्त्रों से युक्त होकर, पूरी सेना के साथ (हनुमान की ओर) बढ़े।
English Commentary
The sheer scale of the operation is detailed here. It is a combined-arms assault featuring heavy infantry, cavalry (vajibhih), and armored units (chariots and elephants). The descriptor matta (intoxicated/rutting) for elephants implies uncontrollable power, while mahajava (great speed) for horses implies agility.
