तस्य पञ्चायसास्तीक्ष्णाः शिताः पीतमुखाः शराः ।
शिरस्युत्पलपत्राभा दुर्धरेण निपातिताः ।

Tasya pañcāyasāstīkṣṇāḥ śitāḥ pītamukhāḥ śarāḥ । Śirasyutpalapatrābhā durdhareṇa nipātitāḥ । । ॥5-46-20॥
Translation
Five sharp iron arrows, with yellow tips (or gold-faced) and resembling the color of blue lotus petals, were shot into his (Hanuman's) head by Durdhara.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दुर्धर (राक्षस) ने हनुमान जी के सिर पर पाँच तीखे, लोहे के बने हुए, पीत मुख वाले (सोने से मढ़े या जहर बुझे) और नीलकमल के पत्तों जैसी आभा वाले बाण मारे।
English Commentary
Durdhara draws first blood. He specifically targets the head (sirasi) to inflict maximum damage or disorientation. The description of the arrows is vivid: made of iron (ayasah), sharp (shitah), and possessing the dark sheen of blue lotus petals (utpala-patra-abha), likely due to the tempered steel or poison. Pitamukhah suggests they had golden tips or were steeped in yellow poison. Striking the head of a divine Vanara with five arrows simultaneously showcases Durdhara's precision and the high caliber of opponents Ravana has sent.
