ततस्तु दुर्धरो वीरः सरथः सज्यकार्मुकः ।
किरन् शरशतैस्तीक्ष्णैरभिपेदे महाबलः ।

Tatastu durdharo vīraḥ sarathaḥ sajyakārmukaḥ । Kiran śaraśataistīkṣṇairabhipede mahābalaḥ । । ॥5-46-22॥
Translation
Then the mighty hero Durdhara, with his bow strung and sitting in his chariot, followed him (into the sky), scattering hundreds of sharp arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब महाबली वीर दुर्धर, हाथ में चढ़ा हुआ धनुष लिए, अपने रथ सहित तीखे बाणों की वर्षा करता हुआ (हनुमान जी के पीछे) आकाश में पहुँचा।
English Commentary
Durdhara proves to be a relentless pursuer. Possessing a magical chariot capable of flight, he chases Hanuman into the sky. The text describes him as sarathah (with chariot) and sajya-karmukah (with strung bow), indicating immediate readiness. Escalating from five arrows to shara-shataih (hundreds of arrows), he attempts to create a 'no-fly zone' around Hanuman. The image is of a warrior who refuses to lose contact with his target, matching the Vanara's vertical mobility with his own vehicular superiority.

दुर्धर एक 'अतिरथी' प्रतीत होता है क्योंकि उसका रथ आकाश में उड़ने में सक्षम है (मायावी रथ)। जैसे ही हनुमान ऊपर उड़े, दुर्धर ने पीछा नहीं छोड़ा। 'सज्यकार्मुकः'—उसका धनुष तैयार था। उसने केवल पाँच बाण नहीं, अपितु 'शरशतैः' (सैकड़ों बाणों) की वर्षा शुरू कर दी। 'किरन्' शब्द का अर्थ है बिखेरना या वर्षा करना। रावण के सेनापति ने हनुमान को आकाश में भी घेरने का प्रयास किया। यह दिखाता है कि यह युद्ध जमीन तक सीमित नहीं था, बल्कि एक पूर्ण 'एरियल डॉगफाइट' (आकाशीय युद्ध) में बदल गया था।
