स ताभ्यां सहसोत्पत्य विष्ठितो विमले ऽम्बरे ।
मुद्गराभ्यां महाबाहुर्वक्षस्यभिहतः कपिः ।
।

Sa tābhyāṃ sahasotpatya viṣṭhito vimale 'mbare । Mudgarābhyāṃ mahābāhurvakṣasyabhihataḥ kapiḥ । । ॥5-46-28॥
Translation
Suddenly leaping up, they stood in the clear sky and struck the mighty-armed Monkey on the chest with their clubs/mudgaras.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे दोनों भी सहसा ऊपर उछले और निर्मल आकाश में स्थित उस महाबाहु वानर (हनुमान) की छाती पर मुद्गरों (गदाओं/हथौड़ों) से प्रहार किया।
English Commentary
The combat is now fully aerial ('in the clear sky' - vimale ambare). Virupaksha and Yupaksha manage to intercept Hanuman. They strike him squarely on the chest (vakshasi) with mudgaras (heavy clubs or maces). This is a direct hit to the vitals. The fact that they could land such a blow on the swift Hanuman indicates their speed and coordination. The verse captures a moment of vulnerability for the hero, highlighting the physical toll of fighting multiple elite opponents simultaneously.

ये दोनों राक्षस भी आकाश में युद्ध करने में सक्षम हैं ('विष्ठितो विमले ऽम्बरे')। उन्होंने हनुमान जी को हवा में ही घेर लिया। उनके हथियार 'मुद्गर' (भारी गदा या हथौड़ा) हैं। उन्होंने हनुमान की 'वक्षसि' (छाती) पर सीधा प्रहार किया। यह एक बहुत ही खतरनाक हमला था। 'महाबाहु' विशेषण हनुमान के लिए है, जो दर्शाता है कि वे भी मुकाबला करने के लिए तैयार हैं, लेकिन इस क्षण उन्हें दो भारी आघात सहने पड़े। हवा में गुरुत्वाकर्षण के विरुद्ध जाकर इतना सटीक प्रहार करना राक्षसों के युद्ध-कौशल को सिद्ध करता है।
