स तेन बाणैः प्रसभं निपातितैश्कार नादं घननादनिस्वनः ।
समुत्पपाताशु नभः स मारुतिर्भुजोरुविक्षेपणघोरदर्शनः ।

Sa tena bāṇaiḥ prasabhaṃ nipātitaiścakāra nādaṃ ghananādanisvanaḥ. Samutpapātāśu nabhaḥ sa mārutirbhujoruvikṣepaṇaghoradarśanaḥ. ॥5-47-21॥
Translation
Struck forcefully by those arrows shot by him (Aksha), Maruti (Hanuman), possessing a voice like the thunder of clouds, roared and quickly leapt into the sky, looking terrible as he waved his arms and thighs.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस (अक्ष) द्वारा बलपूर्वक मारे गए बाणों से आहत होकर, बादलों की गर्जना के समान शब्द करने वाले उस मारुति (हनुमान) ने नाद किया और अपनी भुजाओं तथा जांघों को फड़फड़ाते हुए, भयंकर रूप धारण कर शीघ्रता से आकाश में उछल गए।
English Commentary
The combat shifts dimensions. Struck by Aksha’s arrows, Hanuman doesn't retreat but counters with a terrifying display. The description Ghoradarśanaḥ (terrible to behold) with flailing arms and thighs emphasizes his bestial, yet supernatural power. He leaps into the sky (Nabhaḥ), turning the fight into an aerial dogfight. Being Māruti (son of the Wind), the sky is his domain. The roar resembling thunder (Ghananādanisvanaḥ) reinforces his domination over the atmospheric elements.

अक्ष के बाणों का प्रहार हनुमान को लगा (निपातितैः), लेकिन उससे वे गिरे नहीं, बल्कि और अधिक उग्र हो गए। उन्होंने मेघगर्जना जैसा नाद किया और आकाश में उड़ गए (समुत्पपात)। 'भुजोरुविक्षेपणघोरदर्शनः'—हाथ और पैरों को हिलाते हुए उनका स्वरूप अत्यंत डरावना हो गया। यह रणनीति का बदलाव है; हनुमान जानते हैं कि रथ पर बैठे योद्धा से जमीन पर रहकर लड़ना कठिन है, इसलिए वे 'आकाश युद्ध' (Aerial combat) की ओर बढ़ते हैं, जो वायुपुत्र का अपना क्षेत्र है।
