स तान् शरांस्तस्य हरिर्विमोक्षयंश्चचार वीरः पथि वायुसेविते ।
शरान्तरे मारुतवद्विनिष्पतन् मनोजवः संयति चण्डविक्रमः ।

५.४७.२३।। ॥५-४७-२३॥
Sa tān śarāṃstasya harirvimokṣayaṃścacāra vīraḥ pathi vāyusevite. Śarāntare mārutavadviniṣpatan manojavaḥ saṃyati caṇḍavikramaḥ. ॥5-47-23॥
Translation
Evading those arrows of his, the hero Monkey roamed in the path frequented by the wind (sky). Moving like the wind between the arrows, he, swift as thought and of fierce valor in battle, maneuvered.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस वीर वानर (हनुमान) ने उसके उन बाणों को बचाते हुए (काटते हुए), वायुसेवित मार्ग (आकाश) में विचरण किया। युद्ध में प्रचंड पराक्रम वाले और मन के समान वेग वाले हनुमान, बाणों के बीच में से हवा की तरह निकल जाते थे।
English Commentary
This verse highlights Hanuman's evasion tactics. He is in the Pathi Vāyusevite (path served/frequented by the wind). The key descriptor is Manojavaḥ (speed of mind/thought). He moves faster than the physical arrows. The phrase Śarāntare... viniṣpatan (slipping between the arrows) illustrates his mastery over aerial maneuvering. He is not just tanking the hits; he is dancing through the barrage with the elusive quality of the wind itself, justifying his lineage as the son of Vayu.

यहाँ हनुमान जी की 'लाघवता' (हस्त-कौशल और गति) का वर्णन है। वे आकाश में बाणों के जाल के बीच से 'मारुतवत्' (हवा की तरह) निकल रहे थे। उनकी गति 'मनोजवः' (मन की गति के समान) थी। 'शरान्तरे... विनिष्पतन्' का दृश्य बहुत ही चित्रात्मक है—दो बाणों के बीच की जो खाली जगह होती है, हनुमान जी वहीं से निकल जाते हैं। यह उनकी अद्भुत चपलता (Agility) को दर्शाता है। वे केवल शक्तिशाली नहीं, बल्कि अत्यंत कुशल और तीव्र भी हैं।
