तमात्तबाणासनमाहवोन्मुखं खमास्तृणन्तं विशिखैः शरोत्तमैः ।
अवैक्षताक्षं बहुमानचक्षुषा जगाम चिन्तां च स मारुतात्मजः ।

Tamāttabāṇāsanamāhavonmukhaṃ khamāstṛṇantaṃ viśikhaiḥ śarottamaiḥ. Avaikṣatākṣaṃ bahumānacakṣuṣā jagāma cintāṃ ca sa mārutātmajaḥ. ॥5-47-24॥
Translation
Seeing Aksha, who had taken up his bow, was eager for battle, and was covering the sky with excellent arrows, the son of the Wind God looked at him with an eye of great respect and fell into thought.

धनुष हाथ में लिए, युद्ध के लिए तत्पर और आकाश को उत्तम बाणों से भर देने वाले उस अक्ष को, हनुमान ने बड़े आदर की दृष्टि से देखा और वे विचार में पड़ गए।
English Commentary
Even in the heat of battle, Hanuman pauses to appreciate the skill of his adversary. He observes Aksha covering the sky with arrows and feels Bahumāna (great respect). This mutual respect (Aksha felt it earlier, now Hanuman) elevates the duel to a contest of honor. Hanuman falling into thought (Jagāma cintāṃ) signals a shift from reaction to contemplation. He is analyzing the situation, realizing that this is not a trivial fight and that his opponent possesses genuine greatness that warrants a strategic pause.
