अयं महात्मा च महांश्च वीर्यतः समाहितश्चातिसहश्च संयुगे ।
असंशयं कर्मगुणोदयादयं सनागयक्षेर्मुनिभिश्च पूजितः ।

५.४७.२७।। ॥५-४७-२७॥
Ayaṃ mahātmā ca mahāṃśca vīryataḥ samāhitaścātisahaśca saṃyuge. Asaṃśayaṃ karmaguṇodayādayaṃ sanāgayakṣairmunibhiśca pūjitaḥ. ॥5-47-27॥
Translation
"He is high-souled, great in valor, focused, and capable of enduring much in battle. Without doubt, due to the rise of his deeds and virtues, he is worshipped by Nagas, Yakshas, and even Sages."

"यह (अक्ष) महात्मा है, और पराक्रम से महान है, युद्ध में एकाग्रचित्त और अत्यंत सहनशील है। निःसंदेह अपने कर्म और गुणों के उदय के कारण यह नागों, यक्षों और मुनियों द्वारा भी पूजित (प्रशंसित) है।"
English Commentary
Hanuman concludes his assessment with high praise. He lists Aksha’s qualities: Mahātmā (great soul), Samāhita (composed/focused), and Atisaha (great endurance). The assertion that Aksha is respected even by Munis (sages) alongside supernatural beings (Naga, Yaksha) implies that Aksha possesses dharma and discipline, not just demonic power. This creates a tragic undertone; Hanuman recognizes he must destroy a being who has achieved greatness through merit (Karmaguṇodayāt). It elevates the fight from a brawl to a clash of destinies.

हनुमान जी अक्षकुमार के चरित्र प्रमाण पत्र (Character certificate) पर मोहर लगा रहे हैं। वे उसे केवल वीर नहीं, बल्कि 'समाहितः' (एकाग्र) और 'अतिसहः' (सहनशील) बताते हैं। सबसे बड़ी बात, वे कहते हैं कि यह 'मुनिभिश्च पूजितः' (मुनियों द्वारा भी पूजित) है। एक राक्षस का मुनियों द्वारा पूजित होना असाधारण है। यह दर्शाता है कि अक्षकुमार केवल हिंसक नहीं था, बल्कि उसमें तप और संयम के गुण भी थे। हनुमान जी का यह कथन अक्ष के वध को और अधिक त्रासद (Tragic) बना देता है, क्योंकि एक गुणवान योद्धा का अंत निकट है।
