महर्षिभिश्चक्रचरैर्महाव्रतैः समेत्य भूतैश्च सयक्षपन्नगैः ।
सुरैश्च सैन्द्रैर्भृशजातविस्मयैर्हते कुमारे स कपिर्निरीक्षितः ॥ ॥५-४७-३७॥
Maharṣibhiścakracarairmahāvrataiḥ sametya bhūtaiśca sayakṣapannagaiḥ । Suraiśca saindrairbhṛśajātavismayairhate kumāre sa kapiḥ nirīkṣitaḥ । ॥5-47-37॥
Translation
Upon the killing of the Prince, the great sages who wander the cosmos, those of great vows, along with spirits, Yakshas, Nagas, and the Devas led by Indra, gathered and gazed at the monkey with intense amazement.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुमार (अक्ष) के मारे जाने पर, आकाशचारी महर्षियों, महाव्रतधारियों, यक्षों, पन्नगो (नागों) तथा इंद्र सहित समस्त देवताओं ने एकत्रित होकर अत्यंत विस्मित (चकित) होकर उस कपि को देखा।
English Commentary
This verse serves as a chorus of celestial witnesses validating the magnitude of Hanuman's feat. The defeat of Aksha was not a trivial skirmish; it drew the attention of the highest cosmic order, including Indra and the wandering sages ('cakracaraiḥ'). Their reaction is not just joy but 'vismaya' (amazement), suggesting that the outcome was uncertain and Hanuman's prowess exceeded their expectations.

यह श्लोक हनुमान जी के कृत्य को 'दैवीय मान्यता' (Celestial validation) प्रदान करता है। अक्षकुमार साधारण योद्धा नहीं था; उसका वध इतना दुष्कर था कि स्वयं इंद्र और महर्षि भी 'विस्मित' (हैरान) हो गए। 'चक्रचरैः' उन ऋषियों को कहा गया है जो नक्षत्र-मंडल (Zodiac/Cosmos) में विचरण करते हैं। इन साक्षियों की उपस्थिति हनुमान जी की कीर्ति को तीनों लोकों में स्थापित करती है।
