स तस्य वीरस्य महारथस्य धनुष्मतः संयति संमतस्य ।
शरप्रवेगं व्यहनत् प्रवृद्धश्चचार मार्गे पितुरप्रमेये ।

५.४८.२८।। ॥५-४८-२८॥
sa tasya vīrasya mahārathasya dhanuṣmataḥ saṃyati saṃmatasya |
śarapravegaṃ vyahanat pravṛddhaścacāra mārge pituraprameye ॥5-48-28॥
Translation
That expanded/colossal Monkey warded off the speed of the arrows of that hero, the great chariot-warrior renowned in battle, and moved in the immeasurable path of his father (the sky).

उस महाकाय वानर (हनुमान) ने युद्ध में विख्यात, धनुर्धारी महारथी (इंद्रजीत) के बाणों के वेग को विफल कर दिया और अपने पिता (वायु) के अप्रमेय (असीमित) मार्ग (आकाश) में विचरण करने लगे।
English Commentary
Hanuman leverages his lineage and elemental affinity here. Moving in the 'path of his father' (the sky/wind), he utilizes aerial superiority to dodge the projectiles. The word 'aprameye' (immeasurable) describes the vastness of the sky and, by extension, the unpredictability of Hanuman's movement. He doesn't just block the arrows; he neutralizes their threat ('vyahanat') by simply not being where the arrow lands. This frustrates the 'maharatha' (great car-warrior) Indrajit, whose expertise relies on hitting a target. Hanuman is fighting a guerrilla war in the air.

हनुमान की रणनीति यहाँ स्पष्ट होती है। वे एक स्थिर लक्ष्य नहीं बनते। 'पितुरप्रमेये मार्गे' (पिता के अप्रमेय मार्ग) का अर्थ है आकाश। चूंकि हनुमान वायुपुत्र हैं, आकाश उनका घर है और वहां उनकी गति को मापना (अप्रमेय) असंभव है। वे इंद्रजीत के बाणों को अपने शरीर पर लेने के बजाय, अपनी तीव्र गति और आकाशीय युद्धाभ्यास (aerial maneuvering) से विफल ('व्यहनत्') कर देते हैं। इंद्रजीत 'संमतस्य' (सम्मानित/प्रसिद्ध) योद्धा है, लेकिन हनुमान की चपलता उसके निशाने को मात दे रही है।
