तावुभौ वेगसम्पन्नौ रणकर्मविशारदौ ।
सर्वभूतमनोग्राहि चक्रतुर्युद्धमुत्तमम् ।

tāvubhau vegasampannau raṇakarmaviśāradau |
sarvabhūtamanogrāhi cakraturayuddhamuttamam ॥5-48-33॥
Translation
Those two, possessed of speed and skilled in the art of war, engaged in an excellent battle that captivated the minds of all beings.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे दोनों (हनुमान और इंद्रजीत), जो वेगवान और युद्ध-कर्म में निपुण थे, ने ऐसा उत्तम युद्ध किया जिसने सभी प्राणियों के मन को मोहित (आकर्षित) कर लिया।
English Commentary
The poet steps back to appreciate the aesthetic quality of the duel. It is described as 'yuddham uttamam' (excellent battle). The skill level is so high that it becomes 'manograhi' (captivating to the mind) for all living beings watching. Both combatants are 'vegasampannau' (endowed with speed) and 'ranakarmavisharadau' (experts in war acts). It is a mesmerizing dance of death where offense meets perfect defense. This verse emphasizes that Indrajit has finally met his match, and Hanuman has found a worthy opponent.

वाल्मीकि जी इस युद्ध को 'उत्तमम्' (सर्वश्रेष्ठ) कहते हैं। युद्ध केवल हिंसा नहीं, एक कला भी है। दोनों योद्धा 'रणकर्मविशारदौ' (युद्धकला के विशेषज्ञ) हैं। उनकी गति और कौशल इतना अद्भुत है कि देखने वाले (देवता, गंधर्व, आदि) मंत्रमुग्ध ('मनोग्राहि') हो गए। यह एक संतुलित मुकाबला है—एक तरफ सर्वश्रेष्ठ धनुर्धर है तो दूसरी तरफ सर्वश्रेष्ठ पहलवान/कलाबाज। दर्शक परिणाम की चिंता भूलकर केवल युद्ध के सौंदर्य का आनंद ले रहे हैं।
