ततो ऽथ बुद्ध्वा स तदस्त्रबन्धं प्रभोः प्रभावाद् विगतात्मवेगः ।
पितामहानुग्रहमात्मनश्च विचिन्तयामास हरिप्रवीरः ।

tato 'tha buddhvā sa tadastrabandhaṃ prabhoḥ prabhāvād vigatātmavegaḥ |
pitāmahānugrahamātmanaśca vicintayāmāsa haripravīraḥ ॥5-48-40॥
Translation
Realizing he was bound by that weapon, the hero among monkeys, halting his own speed due to the power of the Lord (Brahma), reflected upon the grace of the Grandfather (Brahma) toward himself.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब उस अस्त्र के बंधन को जानकर, प्रभु (ब्रह्मा) के प्रभाव से अपने वेग को रोककर, वानरवीर हनुमान ने अपने ऊपर पितामह (ब्रह्मा) के अनुग्रह का विचार किया।
English Commentary
Hanuman immediately recognized the nature of the bond as the Brahmastra. The phrase 'vigatatmavegah' (having his speed gone/checked) indicates he ceased struggling. This was not helplessness, but a conscious decision. He recalled the boon from Lord Brahma, which ensured that while the weapon would bind him, it would not kill him. He voluntarily submitted to the restraint out of reverence for the Creator.

हनुमान जी ने तुरंत पहचान लिया कि यह ब्रह्मास्त्र है। 'विगतात्मवेगः' (अपने वेग को रोककर) दर्शाता है कि उन्होंने संघर्ष करना बंद कर दिया। यह उनकी लाचारी नहीं, बल्कि एक सचेत निर्णय था। उन्होंने ब्रह्मा जी के वरदान का स्मरण किया, जिसके अनुसार उन्हें ब्रह्मास्त्र से कष्ट तो होगा लेकिन वे मारे नहीं जाएंगे। वे ब्रह्मा जी के सम्मान में स्वेच्छा से शांत हो गए।
