Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ततः स्वायम्भुवैर्मन्त्रैर्ब्रह्मास्त्रमभिमन्त्रितम् ।
हनूमांश्चिन्तयामास वरदानं पितामहात् ।

॥५-४८-४१॥
tataḥ svāyambhuvairmantrairbrahmāstramabhimantritam |
hanūmāṃścintayāmāsa varadānaṃ pitāmahāt ॥5-48-41॥
Translation
Then, regarding the Brahmastra consecrated by mantras of the Self-born (Brahma), Hanuman reflected upon the boon granted by the Grandfather.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, स्वयंभू (ब्रह्मा) के मन्त्रों से अभिमन्त्रित उस ब्रह्मास्त्र के विषय में हनुमान जी ने पितामह से मिले वरदान का चिंतन किया।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates Hanuman's clarity of mind and patience. Even amidst the chaos of battle and physical bondage, he calmly analyzes the connection between the weapon consecrated by the Self-born (Brahma) and the boon he possesses. He acknowledges the weapon's invincibility while remembering the specific exemption granted to him. It serves as a testament to his mental equilibrium in the face of capture.

यहाँ हनुमान जी की स्मरण शक्ति और धैर्य का चित्रण है। युद्ध के कोलाहल और शारीरिक बंधन के बीच भी वे शांत मन से ब्रह्मा जी (स्वयंभू) के मन्त्रों की शक्ति और अपने वरदान के बीच के संबंध का विश्लेषण कर रहे हैं। वे जानते हैं कि यह अस्त्र अजेय है, लेकिन उनके पास भी उस अस्त्र के प्रभाव को सीमित करने का वरदान है। यह श्लोक हनुमान जी की मानसिक स्थिरता को प्रमाणित करता है।
