अस्त्रेणापि हि बद्धस्य भयं मम न जायते ।
पितामहमहेन्द्राभ्यां रक्षितस्यानिलेन च ।
।
॥५-४८-४४॥
astreṇāpi hi baddhasya bhayaṃ mama na jāyate |
pitāmahamahendrābhyāṃ rakṣitasyānilena ca ॥5-48-44॥
Translation
"Indeed, even though bound by the weapon, no fear arises in me, protected as I am by the Grandfather, Mahendra, and the Wind God."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"अस्त्र से बँधे होने पर भी मुझे कोई भय नहीं हो रहा है, क्योंकि पितामह (ब्रह्मा), महेन्द्र (इन्द्र) और वायु द्वारा मैं रक्षित हूँ।"
English Commentary
The source of Hanuman's fearlessness is clarified here. He knows he is under the protection of three powerful entities: Brahma, Mahendra (Indra), and Vayu. The boons he received after being struck by Indra's thunderbolt in his childhood now form the bedrock of his confidence. Remaining fearless even while captured as a warrior highlights his state of steady wisdom ('Sthitaprajna').

हनुमान जी की निर्भीकता का कारण यहाँ स्पष्ट किया गया है। वे जानते हैं कि वे त्रिमूर्ति (ब्रह्मा, इन्द्र, वायु) के रक्षण में हैं। बचपन में इन्द्र के वज्र से आहत होने के बाद उन्हें जो वरदान मिले थे, वे अब उनके आत्मविश्वास का आधार हैं। एक योद्धा के रूप में बंदी बनाए जाने पर भी भयमुक्त रहना उनकी 'स्थितप्रज्ञ' अवस्था को दर्शाता है।
