परस्परं चाधिकमाक्षिपन्ति ।
भुआम्श्च पीनानधिनिक्षिपन्ति ।
मत्तप्रलापानधिकम् क्षिपन्ति ।
मत्तानि चान्योन्यमधिक्षिपन्ति ॥५-५-११॥
parasparaṃ cādhikam ākṣipanti । bhujāṃś ca pīnān adhinikṣipanti । matta pralāpān adhikam kṣipanti । mattāni cānyonyam adhikṣipanti ॥5-5-11॥
Translation
They (the drunken Rākṣasas) were challenging (or mocking) each other excessively, throwing about (slapping/flexing) their massive arms, shouting drunken prattle excessively, and falling upon (or pushing) each other.

वे (मस्त राक्षस) एक-दूसरे को बहुत अधिक आक्षेप (चुनौती/मजाक) कर रहे थे, अपनी मोटी भुजाओं को पटक रहे थे (बल प्रदर्शन/हाथापाई), नशे में बहुत अधिक प्रलाप (बड़बड़ाहट/गालियाँ) कर रहे थे, और एक-दूसरे पर गिर रहे थे (या एक-दूसरे को धकेल रहे थे)।
English Commentary
This verse vividly portrays the rowdy and Tamasic nature of the Rākṣasas. Under the influence of alcohol, they lacked discipline. Actions like ākṣipanti (mocking/challenging) and bhujān adhinikṣipanti (slapping arms/flexing muscles) display their arrogance and aggression. They engaged in matta pralāpa (drunken babble). This scene provides Hanumān with crucial intelligence: while the Rākṣasas are physically powerful, they are undisciplined and lack self-control. In a war scenario, this lack of order could be their undoing.

यह श्लोक राक्षसों की तामसिक और उच्छृंखल (unruly) प्रकृति का सजीव चित्रण है। मदिरा के नशे में वे अनुशासनहीन हो गए थे। 'आक्षिपन्ति' (आक्षेप करना/ताने मारना) और 'भुजान् अधिनिक्षिपन्ति' (भुजाएं पटकना/ताल ठोकना) उनके अहंकार और आक्रामकता को दर्शाता है। वे 'मत्तप्रलाप' (बेमतलब की बातें) कर रहे थे। यह दृश्य हनुमान जी को यह समझने में मदद करता है कि यद्यपि राक्षस शक्तिशाली हैं, परन्तु वे असंयमित और विवेकहीन हैं। युद्ध की स्थिति में यह अनुशासनहीनता उनकी पराजय का कारण बन सकती है।
