Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ततह् प्रियान् प्राप्य मनोभिरामान् ।
सुप्रीतियुक्ताः सुमनोभिरामाः ।
गृहेषु हृष्टाः परमाभिरामाः ।
हरिप्रवीरः स ददर्श रामाः ॥५-५-२१॥
tataḥ priyān prāpya manobhirāmān । suprīti yuktāḥ sumanobhirāmāḥ । gṛheṣu hṛṣṭāḥ paramābhirāmāḥ । haripravīraḥ sa dadarśa rāmāḥ ॥5-5-21॥
Translation
Then that foremost Vānara (Hanuman) saw those women (Rāmāḥ) who, having attained their mind-pleasing lovers, were filled with great love, beautiful in mind, delighted in their houses, and were supremely charming.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब उस वानर सेनापति (हनुमान) ने उन स्त्रियों (Rāmāḥ) को देखा जो मन को हरने वाले प्रिय को पाकर, अत्यधिक प्रेम से युक्त, उत्तम मन से सुंदर, और अपने घरों में प्रसन्न तथा परम सुंदरी थीं।
English Commentary
This verse describes the good fortune of the Rākasa women. They were greatly delighted (hṛṣṭāḥ) after reuniting with their husbands (priyān). The adjectives manobhirāmān (mind-pleasing) and paramābhirāmāḥ (supremely charming) highlight their beauty and allure. Sumanobhirāmāḥ (beautiful in mind) suggests their mental state was also filled with love. Hanumān, the haripravīraḥ (foremost Vānara), observes all this luxury and beauty while keeping his emotions in check. This scene offers a stark contrast to Sītā’s miserable state—while the women of Lanka wallowed in pleasure, Sītā suffered in sorrow.

इस श्लोक में भी राक्षसी स्त्रियों के सौभाग्य का वर्णन है। वे अपने पतियों (प्रिय) को पाकर अत्यधिक प्रसन्न (hṛṣṭāḥ) थीं। 'मनोभिरामान्' (मन को हरने वाले) और 'परमाभिरामाः' (परम सुंदरी) विशेषण उनके सौंदर्य और आकर्षण को उजागर करते हैं। 'सुमनोभिरामाः' (उत्तम मन से सुंदर) यह दर्शाता है कि उनका मानसिक भाव भी प्रेम से भरा हुआ था। हनुमान जी, 'हरिप्रवीरः' (वानरों में वीर) होने के नाते, अपनी भावनाओं पर नियंत्रण रखते हुए इस सभी विलासिता और सौंदर्य का अवलोकन करते हैं। यह दृश्य उन्हें सीता की दयनीय स्थिति की तुलना में एक तीव्र विरोधाभास प्रदान करता है—जहाँ लंका की स्त्रियाँ सुख और भोग में डूबी हैं, वहीं सीता दुःख में हैं।
