एवमुक्तो हरिश्रेष्ठस्तदा रक्षोगणेश्वरम् ।
॥५-५०-१२॥
Evamukto hariśreṣṭhastadā rakṣogaṇeśvaram । ॥5-50-12॥
Translation
Thus addressed, the best of monkeys (Hanuman) then spoke to the Lord of the Rakshasa hosts (Ravana).
हिंदी अनुवाद
ऐसा कहे जाने पर, वानरश्रेष्ठ (हनुमान) ने तब राक्षसराज (रावण) को संबोधित करते हुए कहा।
English Commentary
This narrative verse bridges the interrogation and the response. Notably, although Prahasta asked the questions, Hanuman directs his answer to 'Rakṣogaṇeśvaram' (Ravana), the supreme authority. This signifies Hanuman's boldness; he bypasses the minister to address the king directly. It implies that Hanuman considers himself a representative of a sovereign power (Rama) and thus entitled to speak to the head of state. It sets the stage for his fearless declaration of identity.

यह एक संयोजक (linking) श्लोक है। यद्यपि प्रश्न प्रहस्त ने पूछे थे, लेकिन हनुमान जी अपना उत्तर सीधे 'रक्षोगणेश्वरम्' (राक्षसों के स्वामी, रावण) को संबोधित करते हैं। यह हनुमान जी की निर्भीकता और आत्मविश्वास को दर्शाता है। वे मंत्री से बात करने के बजाय सीधे राजा से संवाद स्थापित करते हैं, क्योंकि वे राम के दूत हैं और एक राजा (राम) का संदेश दूसरे राजा (रावण) को देना चाहते हैं। यहाँ से हनुमान जी का उत्तर प्रारंभ होता है।
