अहं तु हनुमान्नाम मारुतस्यौरसः सुतः ।
सीतायास्तु कृते तूर्णं शतयोजनमायतम् ।

ahaṃ tu hanumānnāma mārutasyaurasaḥ sutaḥ । sītāyāstu kṛte tūrṇaṃ śatayojanamāyatam । । 5.51.15।। ॥5-51-15॥
Translation
I am named Hanuman, the own son of the Wind-god. For the sake of Sita, I have swiftly (crossed the ocean) which is one hundred yojanas wide.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं हनुमान हूँ, वायुदेव का अपनी पत्नी से उत्पन्न (औरस) पुत्र। सीताजी के कार्य के लिए मैं शीघ्रता से सौ योजन विस्तृत (समुद्र को लांघकर आया हूँ)।
English Commentary
Hanuman formally introduces himself, citing his lineage as the direct son (aurasaḥ sutaḥ) of the Wind-god, Maruta. This explains his extraordinary strength and speed to the assembly. By stating he crossed the 100-yojana ocean tūrṇaṃ (swiftly) for Sita's sake, he validates the previous descriptions of the monkey army's capabilities. He is living proof of the threat he just described. This statement removes any ambiguity about his identity or intent; he is a celestial-born warrior on a specific rescue mission, capable of overcoming the massive geographical barrier that Ravana thought made Lanka impregnable.

हनुमान यहाँ अपना औपचारिक परिचय देते हैं। 'मारुतस्यौरसः सुतः' कहकर वे अपनी दिव्य वंशावली और अपार शक्ति के स्रोत का उद्घाटन करते हैं। 'सीतायास्तु कृते' (सीता के कार्य के लिए) कहकर वे अपने आगमन का उद्देश्य स्पष्ट करते हैं—यह कोई आकस्मिक भ्रमण नहीं, बल्कि एक निश्चित मिशन है। 'शतयोजनमायतम्' (सौ योजन चौड़ा) समुद्र लांघने की बात कहकर वे पिछले श्लोकों में किए गए दावों (कि वानर गरुड़ और वायु समान हैं) का प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण प्रस्तुत करते हैं। यह रावण के दरबार में अपनी शक्ति की स्थापना है।
