अवध्यतां तपो ऽभिर्यां भवान् समनुपश्यति ।
आत्मनः सासुरैर्देवैर्हेतुस्तत्राप्ययं महान् ।

avadhyatāṃ tapo 'bhiryāṃ bhavān samanupaśyati । ātmanaḥ sāsurairdevairhetustatrāpyayaṃ mahān । । 5.51.26।। ॥5-51-26॥
Translation
You perceive your own invincibility against Devas and Asuras due to your penance; however, even in that regard, this (Sugriva/Monkey factor) is a great underlying cause (for danger).
हिंदी अनुवाद
आप अपनी तपस्या के प्रभाव से, देवताओं और असुरों द्वारा अपने जिस 'अवध्यभाव' (न मारे जाने) को देखते हैं, उसमें भी यह (सुग्रीव/वानर) एक महान कारण (खतरा/अपवाद) है।
English Commentary
Hanuman pinpoints the flaw in Ravana's armor. Ravana relies on his boon of avadhyatāṃ (indestructibility) against celestial beings. Hanuman cryptically notes that ayam (this factor—referring to the current enemy) is a mahān hetu (great reason/cause) that bypasses that protection. He is subtly referencing the fine print of Ravana's boon. Ravana asked for protection from gods and demons, but arrogance made him ignore humans and monkeys. Hanuman is highlighting that this specific oversight is now the "great cause" of his impending doom.

यह श्लोक रावण के वरदान की तकनीकी खामी (Loophole) की ओर इशारा करता है। रावण ने ब्रह्मा से वरदान मांगते समय देव, दानव, गंधर्व आदि से अभय मांगा था, लेकिन 'मनुष्य' और 'वानर' को तुच्छ समझकर छोड़ दिया था। हनुमान उसी भूल को 'महान हेतु' (बड़ा कारण) बता रहे हैं। वे कह रहे हैं कि आप जिसे अपनी सुरक्षा (अवध्यता) मानते हैं, वह वानरों के मामले में लागू नहीं होती। यह रावण के झूठे सुरक्षा कवच (False sense of security) को भेदने वाला तर्क है।
