Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
रामेण हि प्रतिज्ञातं हर्यृक्षगणसन्निधौ ।
उत्सादनममित्राणां सीता यैस्तु प्रधर्षिता ।

rāmeṇa hi pratijñātaṃ haryṛkṣagaṇasannidhau । utsādanamamitrāṇāṃ sītā yaistu pradharṣitā । । 5.51.32।। ॥5-51-32॥
Translation
For Rama has promised in the presence of the multitudes of monkeys and bears that he will completely exterminate those enemies by whom Sita was assaulted/abducted.
हिंदी अनुवाद
क्योंकि राम ने वानरों और भालुओं के समूह के सामने यह प्रतिज्ञा की है कि जिनके द्वारा सीता का घर्षण (अपहरण/अपमान) किया गया है, उन शत्रुओं का वे समूल नाश (उत्सादन) करेंगे।
English Commentary
This verse explains the restraint mentioned in the previous verse. It references a public vow (pratijñātaṃ) taken by Rama. The vow is specific: the utsādanam (uprooting/extermination) of the abductors. By citing this, Hanuman makes it clear that the war is inevitable because Rama's honor is staked on it. It frames the coming conflict not as a battle for territory, but as the fulfillment of a divine oath. Hanuman leaves Ravana with the message that his destruction is contractually bound by the word of a man who killed Vali with one arrow.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान अपने वक्तव्य का समापन राम की 'प्रतिज्ञा' के उल्लेख से करते हैं। क्षत्रिय की प्रतिज्ञा पत्थर की लकीर होती है। राम ने 'हर्यृक्षगणसन्निधौ' (वानर-भालू सभा के बीच) सार्वजनिक रूप से कसम खाई है कि वे सीता के चोरों का 'उत्सादन' (पूर्ण विनाश) करेंगे। इसलिए हनुमान रावण को नहीं मार रहे, ताकि राम की प्रतिज्ञा झूठी न हो। यह रावण के लिए 'डेथ वारंट' (Death Warrant) पढ़ने जैसा है। हनुमान बता रहे हैं कि रावण का अंत पहले ही तय हो चुका है, अब बस उसका घटित होना बाकी है।
