Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सर्वान्लोकान् सुसंहृत्य सभूतान् सचराचरान् ।
पुनरेव तथा स्रष्टुं शक्तो रामो महायशाः ।
।
॥५-५१-३९॥
Sarvānlokān susaṃhṛtya sabhūtān sacarācarān । Punareva tathā sraṣṭuṃ śakto rāmo mahāyaśāḥ । । ॥5-51-39॥
Translation
The illustrious Rama is capable of destroying all the worlds, together with their moving and unmoving creatures, and creating them anew in the same manner.
हिंदी अनुवाद
महायशस्वी श्रीराम चराचर प्राणियों सहित समस्त लोकों का संहार करके पुनः उसी प्रकार उनकी सृष्टि करने में समर्थ हैं।
English Commentary
Here, Hanumat fully unveils the divinity of Sri Rama. Until now, Rama might have been viewed as a warrior king, but here he is declared as the Supreme Brahman, the Lord of Creation, Preservation, and Destruction. If Rama can recreate the cosmos, destroying Lanka is a trivial task for Him. This verse aims to make Ravana understand that he is not facing a mere mortal, but the Supreme Self in the form of Time/Death.
हिंदी टीका
यहाँ हनुमान श्रीराम के ईश्वरत्व (Divinity) का पूर्ण उद्घाटन करते हैं। अब तक राम को एक योद्धा राजा के रूप में देखा जा रहा था, किन्तु यहाँ उन्हें साक्षात् परब्रह्म कहा गया है जो सृष्टि, पालन और संहार के स्वामी हैं। यदि राम सृष्टि को फिर से बना सकते हैं, तो लंका का विनाश उनके लिए अत्यंत तुच्छ कार्य है। यह श्लोक रावण को यह समझाने के लिए है कि उसका सामना किसी मनुष्य से नहीं, बल्कि काल-स्वरूप परमात्मा से है।
