यदि मां तारयेदार्यः सुग्रीवः सत्यसङ्गरः ।
अस्माद्दुःखाम्बुसंरोधाच्छीतो भव हनूमतः ।

Yadi māṃ tārayedāryaḥ sugrīvaḥ satyasaṅgaraḥ । Asmādduḥkhāmbusaṃrodhācchīto bhava hanūmataḥ । ॥5-53-31॥
Translation
"If the noble Sugriva, true to his promise, is to rescue me from this ocean of sorrow, then become cool for Hanuman."

"यदि सत्यप्रतिज्ञ और आर्य सुग्रीव मुझे इस दुख रूपी सागर से पार उतारेंगे (मुक्त करेंगे), तो तुम हनुमान के लिए शीतल हो जाओ।"
English Commentary
Finally, Sita invokes the pledge of the allies. 'Satyasaṅgaraḥ' means one who is true to his promise. Since Hanuman is Sugriva's minister, his survival is linked to Sugriva's capacity to fulfill his oath of rescuing Sita. She reasons that if she is destined to be saved by Sugriva from this 'ocean of sorrow' ('duḥkhāmbusaṃrodhāt'), then his emissary cannot be destroyed now. She effectively binds the future success of the mission to the present safety of Hanuman, leveraging the moral weight of Sugriva's promise against the fire's heat.

अंत में, सीता जी सुग्रीव की प्रतिज्ञा को याद करती हैं। 'सत्यसङ्गरः' का अर्थ है जो अपनी प्रतिज्ञा पर अटल रहे। हनुमान सुग्रीव के ही दूत हैं। यदि सुग्रीव अपनी प्रतिज्ञा पूरी करने वाले हैं और मुझे इस कैद से मुक्त कराने वाले हैं, तो उनके दूत का बाल भी बांका नहीं होना चाहिए। सीता जी भविष्य की संभावना (सुग्रीव द्वारा रक्षा) को वर्तमान की शर्त बना रही हैं। यह उनके आशावादी दृष्टिकोण और वानर राज पर विश्वास को प्रकट करता है।
