हनुमज्जनकश्चापि पुच्छानलयुतो ऽनिलः ।
ववौ स्वास्थ्यकरो देव्याः प्रालेयानिलशीतलः ।
।
॥५-५३-३३॥
Hanumajjanakaścāpi pucchānalayuto 'nilaḥ । Vavau svāsthyakaro devyāḥ prāleyānilaśītalaḥ । । ॥5-53-33॥
Translation
Even the wind-god Anila, the father of Hanuman, associating himself with the fire on the tail, blew soothingly for the sake of the Goddess [Sita], cool as a snowy breeze.

हनुमान जी के पिता वायुदेव भी, पूंछ में लगी अग्नि से युक्त होकर, देवी सीता की प्रसन्नता (वचनों का मान रखते हुए) और हनुमान के सुख के लिए, बर्फीली हवा के समान शीतल होकर बहने लगे।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the harmonious interaction of elemental forces for the sake of a devotee. Although the nature of fire is to burn, here, the Wind-god (Vayu), who is Hanuman's father, intervenes. Respecting Sita's earlier prayer to Agni to be cool, and out of paternal love, Vayu makes the fire on the tail feel like a "snowy breeze" (prāleyānilaśītalaḥ). The phrase 'svāsthyakaro devyāḥ' implies that this cooling effect was produced to honor the Goddess Sita's wish and ensure Hanuman's well-being. It illustrates that for a divine cause, even the fundamental properties of nature (like the heat of fire) can be transmuted into comfort.

यहाँ प्रकृति और दैवीय शक्तियों का अद्भुत समन्वय दिखता है। यद्यपि अग्नि का स्वभाव जलाना है, किन्तु यहाँ हनुमान जी के पिता 'वायु' अग्नि के साथ मिल गए हैं। माता सीता ने अग्निदेव से प्रार्थना की थी कि वे शीतल हो जाएं। उसी प्रार्थना का मान रखते हुए, और अपने पुत्र के प्रति वात्सल्य के कारण, वायुदेव ने अग्नि की दाहक शक्ति को शीतलता में बदल दिया। 'प्रालेयानिलशीतलः' (बर्फ की हवा जैसा ठंडा) शब्द यह दर्शाता है कि हनुमान जी को जलती हुई पूंछ से कष्ट के बजाय सुखद शीतलता का अनुभव हो रहा था। यह श्लोक सिद्ध करता है कि भक्त के लिए देवगण भी अपने प्राकृतिक गुणों को बदल लेते हैं।
