सीतायाश्चानृशंस्येन तेजसा राघवस्य च ।
पितुश्च मम सख्येन न मां दहति पावकः ।
।
॥५-५३-३८॥
Sītāyāścānṛśaṃsyena tejasā rāghavasya ca । Pituśca mama sakhyena na māṃ dahati pāvakaḥ । । ॥5-53-38॥
Translation
Due to Sita's compassion, the glory of the scion of Raghu [Rama], and my father's friendship [with Agni], the fire does not burn me.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सीता की दयालुता (आनृशंस्य), श्री रघुनाथ जी के तेज और मेरे पिता (वायु) की (अग्नि के साथ) मित्रता के कारण यह अग्नि मुझे नहीं जला रही है।
English Commentary
Hanuman identifies a triad of causes for his safety, showing his analytical mind. First is Sita's 'ānṛśaṃsya' (absence of cruelty/compassion), referring to the power of her virtue and prayer. Second is Rama's 'tejas' (glory/power), which commands the elements. Third is the natural friendship between his father (Wind) and Fire ('sakhyena'). By citing these external factors, he humbly attributes his survival to grace and lineage rather than his own invincibility, embodying the perfect servant (Dasa-bhava).

हनुमान जी अग्नि द्वारा न जलाए जाने के तीन मुख्य कारण बताते हैं: १) सीता जी का 'आनृशंस्य' (क्रूरता का अभाव या दया/तप का बल), २) राम जी का 'तेज' (प्रताप), और ३) वायुदेव और अग्निदेव की प्राकृतिक मित्रता (हवा आग को बढ़ाती है, बुझाती नहीं)। यह त्रिवेणी—भक्ति (सीता), शक्ति (राम), और संबंध (पिता वायु)—मिलकर हनुमान जी की रक्षा कर रही है। हनुमान जी यहाँ भी अपनी तपस्या का उल्लेख नहीं करते, जो उनकी निरहंकारिता का प्रमाण है।
