स तान्निहत्वा रणचण्डविक्रमः समीक्षमाणः पुनरेव लङ्काम् ।
प्रदीप्तलाङ्गूलकृतार्चिमाली प्रकाशतादित्य इवार्चिमाली ।

Sa tānnihatvā raṇacaṇḍavikramaḥ samīkṣamāṇaḥ punareva laṅkām । Pradīptalāṅgūlakṛtārcimālī prakāśatāditya ivārcimālī । । ॥5-53-45॥
Translation
Having killed those demons, Hanuman, of fierce prowess in battle, looked at Lanka again. Adorned with a garland of flames created by his blazing tail, he shone brilliantly like the sun adorned with a garland of rays.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में प्रचण्ड पराक्रम वाले हनुमान जी उन राक्षसों को मारकर, पुनः लंका को देखते हुए, प्रज्वलित पूँछ द्वारा बनी हुई ज्वालाओं की माला से, किरणों की माला वाले सूर्य के समान प्रकाशित हो रहे थे।
English Commentary
This verse captures the magnificent and terrifying form of Hanuman after the battle. The epithet raṇacaṇḍavikramaḥ (one with fierce prowess in war) highlights his martial dominance. Valmiki uses a striking simile here, comparing Hanuman to the Sun (Āditya). Just as the Sun is Arcimālī (garlanded with rays), Hanuman is described as Pradīptalāṅgūlakṛtārcimālī (garlanded by the flames of his burning tail). The imagery suggests that Hanuman has transcended the role of a mere messenger and has become a cosmic force of retribution, radiating a brilliance that is both illuminating and destructive, poised to unleash fire upon the city.

इस श्लोक में हनुमान जी के रौद्र और तेजस्वी रूप का वर्णन है। 'रणचण्डविक्रमः' विशेषण उनके युद्ध कौशल और भीषण वेग को दर्शाता है। यहाँ कवि ने एक अद्भुत उपमा दी है—हनुमान जी की जलती हुई पूँछ से जो आग की लपटें निकल रही हैं, वे एक माला (अर्चिवाली) के समान प्रतीत हो रही हैं। इस अग्निमय पूँछ के साथ आकाश में स्थित हनुमान जी साक्षात् 'अर्चिमाली' (सूर्य) जैसे चमक रहे हैं। यह दृश्य विनाश और तेज दोनों का प्रतीक है; जिस प्रकार सूर्य अपने ताप से जगत को तपाता है, उसी प्रकार हनुमान जी अपनी पूँछ की अग्नि से लंका को तपाने के लिए तैयार हैं।
