Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सर्वेषां समतिक्रम्य राक्षसेन्द्रस्य वीर्यवान् ।
आससादाथ लक्ष्मीवान् रावणस्य निवेशनम् ।

॥५-५४-१८॥
Sarveṣāṃ samatikramya rākṣasendrasya vīryavān । Āsasādātha lakṣmīvān rāvaṇasya niveśanam । । ॥5-54-18॥
Translation
Having passed beyond all those, the mighty and glorious Hanuman then reached the mansion of the Lord of Rakshasas, Ravana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन सभी (भवनों) को पार करके, पराक्रमी और शोभासम्पन्न हनुमान जी राक्षसेन्द्र रावण के भवन (राजमहल) के पास पहुँचे।
English Commentary
The destruction reaches its strategic pinnacle. Having dealt with the subordinates, Hanuman approaches the epicenter of power: Ravana’s palace. The text contrasts the two figures—Ravana is Rākṣasendra (Lord of Demons), while Hanuman is described as Lakṣmīvān (possessed of divine glory/fortune). This juxtaposition suggests that true glory lies with the devotee of Rama, not with the king who sits on a throne of stolen gold. It sets the stage for the final act of defiance.

अब इस 'दहन-कांड' का चरमोत्कर्ष (climax) आता है। छोटे और बड़े सरदारों के घरों को जलाने के बाद, हनुमान जी सीधे मुख्य शत्रु, 'राक्षसेन्द्र' रावण के महल पर पहुँचते हैं। हनुमान जी के लिए 'लक्ष्मीवान्' (शोभा/श्री से युक्त) शब्द का प्रयोग किया गया है, जो बताता है कि लंका को जलाने की क्रिया से उनकी शोभा कम नहीं हुई, बल्कि और बढ़ गई है। वे अब सीधे सत्ता के केंद्र पर प्रहार करने के लिए तैयार हैं।
