प्रदीप्तमग्निमुत्सृज्य लाङ्गूलाग्रे प्रतिष्ठितम् ।
ननाद हनुमान् वीरो युगान्तजलदो यथा ।

Pradīptamagnimutsṛjya lāṅgūlāgre pratiṣṭhitam । Nanāda hanumān vīro yugāntajalado yathā । । ॥5-54-20॥
Translation
Discharging the blazing fire situated at the tip of his tail (onto the palace), the hero Hanuman roared like a rain-cloud at the end of the Yuga (cosmic cycle).
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपनी पूँछ के अग्रभाग पर स्थित प्रज्वलित अग्नि को उस महल में डालकर, वीर हनुमान प्रलयकाल के मेघ के समान गर्जना करने लगे।
English Commentary
The action signifies the crowning blow. Hanuman transfers the fire from his tail to the royal palace. His subsequent roar (nanāda) is compared to the yugāntajalada (the cloud at the dissolution of the world). This auditory imagery complements the visual of the fire. The roar serves a dual purpose: it terrorizes the Rakshasas and announces the inevitable doom of Ravana’s empire, signaling that the 'end of the age' for Lanka has begun.
हिंदी टीका
रावण के महल में आग लगाने के बाद हनुमान जी का 'नाद' (गर्जना) उनकी विजय का उद्घोष है। 'युगान्तजलदो यथा' (प्रलयकाल के बादल की तरह) उपमा अत्यंत प्रभावशाली है। जैसे प्रलय के समय बादल गरजते हैं और सृष्टि का विनाश करते हैं, वैसे ही हनुमान जी लंका के विनाश का संकेत दे रहे हैं। यह गर्जना रावण को सीधी चुनौती है कि उसका काल अब निकट आ गया है।
