दुर्गे विनाशिते कर्म भवेत् सुखपरिश्रमम् ।
अल्पयत्नेन कार्ये ऽस्मिन् मम स्यात् सफलः श्रमः ।

॥५-५४-४॥
Durge vināśite karma bhavet sukhapariśramam । Alpayatnena kārye 'smin mama syāt saphalaḥ śramaḥ । । ॥5-54-4॥
Translation
"If the fortress is destroyed, the task (of the future war) will involve easy effort. With just a little exertion in this task now, my labor will be fruitful."
हिंदी अनुवाद
दुर्ग के नष्ट हो जाने पर (राम जी के लिए) कार्य (युद्ध) कम परिश्रम वाला हो जाएगा। इस कार्य में थोड़े से ही प्रयत्न से मेरा श्रम सफल हो जाएगा।
English Commentary
This verse underscores Hanuman's foresight and dedication to Rama's cause. He realizes that destroying the fort now acts as a force multiplier for the impending invasion. By compromising Lanka's defenses (Durge vināśite), he ensures that the future war will be sukhapariśramam (involving manageable exertion) for Rama and the Vanara army. हनुमान जी की दूरदर्शिता यहाँ प्रशंसनीय है। वे केवल वर्तमान का नहीं, बल्कि भविष्य में राम और वानर सेना के आगमन का सोच रहे हैं। यदि लंका का किला ('दुर्ग') अभी कमजोर कर दिया गया, तो भावी युद्ध 'सुखपरिश्रमम्' (आसानी से साध्य) हो जाएगा। वे अपने वर्तमान श्रम को प्रभु राम के भविष्य के कार्य की सफलता के साथ जोड़ रहे हैं। यह एक सच्चे सेवक और सेनापति की सोच है जो स्वामी के आने से पहले मार्ग के कांटों को हटा देता है।
