विनष्टायां तु सीतायां तावुभौ विनशिष्यतः ।
तयोर्विनाशे सुग्रीवः सबन्धुर्विनशिष्यति ।

vinaṣṭāyāṃ tu sītāyāṃ tāvubhau vinaśiṣyataḥ |
tayorvināśe sugrīvaḥ sabandhurvinaśiṣyati ॥5-55-18॥
Translation
If Sita is destroyed, both of them (Rama and Lakshmana) will surely perish. And upon their destruction, Sugriva, along with his kinsmen, will also perish.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सीता के नष्ट होने पर वे दोनों (राम और लक्ष्मण) भी नष्ट हो जायेंगे (प्राण त्याग देंगे)। और उन दोनों के विनाश होने पर अपने बन्धुओं सहित सुग्रीव भी नष्ट हो जायेंगे।
English Commentary
Hanuman traces the catastrophic chain reaction that would follow Sita's death. He understands the profound bond between Rama and Sita; Rama cannot survive her loss, and Lakshmana cannot survive Rama. Furthermore, bound by friendship and debt, Sugriva and the Vanara clan would also succumb to the tragedy. This analysis moves beyond personal guilt to the macro-political and emotional fallout. It illustrates the heavy burden Hanuman carries—he realizes that the fate of the entire alliance and the royal lineages rests squarely on his actions in this moment.

हनुमान जी अब अपने कार्य के दूरगामी परिणामों (Domino Effect) का विश्लेषण कर रहे हैं। वे जानते हैं कि राम का जीवन सीता के जीवन पर आश्रित है। यह केवल एक व्यक्ति (सीता) की मृत्यु नहीं है, बल्कि यह एक शृंखला अभिक्रिया है। सीता के बिना राम नहीं, राम के बिना लक्ष्मण नहीं, और अपने मित्रों/स्वामियों के न रहने पर सुग्रीव और वानर कुल भी जीवित नहीं रहेगा। यह श्लोक दिखाता है कि कैसे एक 'प्रज्ञाविपर्यय' (विवेक की भूल) पूरे युग और वंश के विनाश का कारण बन सकती है।
