नूनं रामप्रभावेन वैदेह्याः सुकृतेन च ।
यन्मां दहनकर्मा ऽयं नादहद्धव्यवाहनः ।

nūnaṃ rāmaprabhāvena vaidehyāḥ sukṛtena ca |
yanmāṃ dahanakarmā 'yaṃ nādahaddhavyavāhanaḥ ॥5-55-25॥
Translation
Surely, it is due to the power of Rama and the good deeds of Vaidehi that this Fire (Havyavahana), whose nature is to burn, did not burn me.

निश्चय ही राम के प्रभाव से और वैदेही (सीता) के सुकृत (पुण्य) से ही, जलाने का स्वभाव रखने वाले इस अग्नि (हव्यवाहन) ने मुझे नहीं जलाया।
English Commentary
Hanuman uses deductive reasoning based on his immediate experience. Fire creates heat by nature (dahanakarmā), yet he, who is standing amidst the flames, remains unburnt. He attributes this miracle not to his own immunity, but to Rama-prabhāva (Rama's power) and Vaidehi's sukṛta (Sita's merit). He concludes that if the fire spared him—the agent of destruction—it must undoubtedly have spared Sita, the object of devotion. This verse highlights Hanuman’s humility; he sees his own survival as a byproduct of the divine grace protecting the couple.

हनुमान जी 'प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव' से निष्कर्ष निकाल रहे हैं। वे सोचते हैं कि अग्नि का धर्म जलाना है, और मैं (हनुमान) तो अग्नि के बीच में खड़ा था, फिर भी मुझे आंच नहीं आयी। यदि अग्नि ने 'अपराधी' (लंका जलाने वाले) को छोड़ दिया, तो वह 'निरपराध' और 'पवित्र' सीता को कैसे जलाएगी? वे अपनी सुरक्षा का श्रेय अपने पराक्रम को न देकर 'राम के प्रभाव' और 'सीता के सुकृत' को देते हैं। यह उनकी अनन्य भक्ति और अहंकार-शून्यता को दर्शाता है।
