ततस्तु शिंशुपामूले जानकीं पर्यवस्थिताम् ।
अभिवाद्याब्रवीद्दिष्ट्या पश्यामि त्वामिहाक्षताम् ।

tatastu śiṃśupāmūle jānakīṃ paryavasthitām |
abhivādyābravīddiṣṭyā paśyāmi tvāmihākṣatām ॥5-56-1॥
Translation
Thereafter, bowing to Janaki who was seated at the root of the Shimshapa tree, he said, "By good fortune, I see you here unhurt."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, शिंशपा वृक्ष की जड़ के पास बैठी हुई जानकी को प्रणाम करके (हनुमान ने) कहा - "सौभाग्य से मैं आपको यहाँ अक्षत (कुशल) देख रहा हूँ।"
English Commentary
Sarga 56 opens with the final interaction before departure. Hanuman descends to the Shimshapa tree. Despite the adrenaline of the battle and burning the city, he maintains his humility and etiquette, bowing (abhivādya) to Sita. His opening words, "By good fortune (diṣṭyā) I see you unhurt," convey his immense relief. It reassures Sita that amidst the chaos of war, her safety remained his paramount concern.

छप्पनवां सर्ग हनुमान जी की विदाई (Farewell) से शुरू होता है। हनुमान जी अशोक वाटिका में उतरते हैं जहाँ सीता जी उसी शिंशपा वृक्ष के नीचे हैं। 'अभिवाद्य' (प्रणाम करके) - विजय के उन्माद में भी वे शिष्टाचार नहीं भूलते। 'दिष्ट्या' (सौभाग्य से/By luck) शब्द उनकी भारी राहत को दर्शाता है। वे सीता जी को यह जताना चाहते हैं कि लंका दहन के दौरान उनकी सुरक्षा ही हनुमान की सबसे बड़ी चिंता थी।
